You have not heard the ones who have a true heart,
And ended up witnessing the devils in others.
You have not seen the wounds they suffered at the behest of the ignorance and arrogance of others.
The trauma they endured from physical, mental and emotional abuse, is beyond your comprehension.
But it didn't stop them from being who they are, compassionate and true.
They have learned to forgive without ever having received an apology.
However, things they say and do may appear strange to you.
You may catch them crying for no apparent reason.
And you may see them talking into the walls and thin air.
They have a story no one wants to listen.
The story that reveals the darkness of this world.
And even upon walking through the aisles of the night,
They are the ones who shine as the beacons of light.
