💌 Welcome to My Project

💌 Welcome to My Project

Jul 16, 2025

Hi, I’m Alisa — and I’m reading through hundreds of real love letters my parents wrote to each other during the Vietnam War.

They were both officers in the Air Force. My mom was pregnant with me. My dad was flying rescue helicopters in Vietnam. And every single day — sometimes multiple times a day — they wrote each other. They poured their hearts into those letters, and somehow, they saved every one.

I found them in a storage unit behind Gallatin River Guides in Big Sky, Montana — untouched since my parents moved from South Florida after Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Now both my parents are gone. And I’m reading their story out loud, one letter at a time, in my podcast: The Allgoods: Vietnam Through the Eyes of Love.

I want to turn this into a book, and I want to preserve everything — the letters, the photos, even the envelopes and postmarks — but it’s a massive job. I have boxes and boxes of material, and I can’t do it alone.

If you feel moved by their story, or if you just want to help me keep going — your support means the world. Even a small gesture helps me stay afloat emotionally, cover basic project costs, and eventually bring this story into the world as a printed legacy.
