About The 905 Circle
The 905 Circle is a grassroots community-led creative collective for 20-somethings across the 905 region (Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Mississauga and surrounding areas).
Founded in June 2025, The Circle was created by social worker, poet & community organizer Chinenye Kalu, as a response to the lack of accessible creative spaces and opportunities for young adults outside of Toronto's urban core.
We host creative gatherings and workshops, partner with local artists & organizations - centering community, accessibility and connection.
Our goal is to build dedicated third spaces in the 905, expand programming, and provide microgrants to emerging creatives - especially BIPOC artists so that they can bring their ideas to life.
Your support directly helps cover materials, venue costs, and allows us to continue offering accessible, community-driven programming and supporting emerging artists through paid opportunities and programming
If you've attended an event or love what we're building, your support helps us sustain our work, grow our programming, and invest back into our community 💌
Thank you so much for believing in the work we do!
- Chinenye,
Founder & Creative Director of The 905 Circle
