It may be rather obvious that I haven't been posting blogs lately. Actually, that's not true, I have been writing, just not here. It has been a bit difficult to judge what shoud go in here. My most personal thoughts are kept in a journal and more technical material is in a tech blog on my website. I would like to be able to write more here, but the part of the truth is I lack the desire to do so.
Maybe another part has been a perceived lack of interest in what I have to write. The last thing of major interest I wrote about was having to replace my AC. It quit at a difficult time but it prompted my to do several other things around the house and go through a spring cleaning of sorts. Over the past coiuple of months I've fixed my diswasher, the burner on my stove that didn't quite work right, have worked on my fridge and even replaced hardware on an awning on the side of my house that was held together by a drywall screw on one side and a broken drill bit on the other.
I bought hardware and tools to add a receptacle in my office and have been planning on swapping out all of the old electrical outlets for new ones. I've also been working on my home lab, including a new server and reworking my network storage solution. Almost every weekend has had one or more projects and a lot has been done during the week as well.
I've also been streaming more often and trying to plan changes in my YouTube channel. I don't know if any of it will make an impact, but I can look around the house and see improvements. I can also look around the house and see where I can't make up my mind what to do with some things. I have at least one TV to put on a wall, shelves to put up and I have to find something to hang on the walls to make it look like someone lives here. It will be an ongoing project, but it's been four years, now. It's time I start making the place mine.
I can't promise that I will keep writing this blog, but I will leave it up. Who knows, maybe I'll find things worth sharing and it will turn into a wonderful success. Hey, it can happen, one never knows. In the mean time, I'll continue the streaming and writing blogs for the website and working on projects around the house. My electric bill has gone down dramatically since the new AC got installed, and it kind of makes me happy just to do things around the house. It seems for now that I've found my happy, so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.
