Wow, sometimes the days get away from you and its all you can do to remember to buy groceries or fill up the car with gas. Wait, neither of those got done this week.....
Regardless, my absence does have a good reason, though I am not seeking to use it as an excuse of any kind. I have been in the process of interviewing for a new team at work and have been spending much of my spare un-committed time preparing for that. It is in a process I have used before, but with any skill, if you don't use it constantly, it grow a little stale and you have to refresh your mind to make sure you still measure up. The process is going well, but it seems there is one more step that I hope to be able to take the weekend to finish up some of my preparing.
There are quite a few things going on and even more coming in the near future, so somewhere along the way I have to make sure I am prepared for those as well, (obviously something I have not done very well lately). Still, it provides an avenue for growth, or something like that, right. I am looking forward to the new opportunity that will help me sharpen some of my skills and add to the new experiences that keep this job interesting.
It is a little hard to believe this year has moved so quickly, especially since last year seemed to drag out so horribly, but living in Florida makes me glad that the sweltering temps and humidity are leaving and we can get back to regular nice weather. Similar to living in Phoenix, you don't move there for June through August, you move there for the weather the rest of the year. Here in the Tampa area, it will probably hang on for just a bit longer, but will abate soon enough, and just in time for the Holidays.
The holiday season should look much different this year as well. There may even be a party or two to host or go to. I might even decide to put up some type of decorations, who knows.
in any case, this blog post has absolutely no focus except for an explanation of my short absence and a commitment to improve. It's what makes up better, right? I'm still batting around the idea of posting more picks of computers I have completed, but I probably have to improve as a photographer as well as a blog writer. (I think we're all in trouble if we're counting on that).
