Thousands of rivers enter the sea every single day and yet we see no change in the appearance of the sea. The Sea doesn't change its size or shape or it doesn't get mad at rivers and says "Why are you entering without permission you stupid rivers?" Million and million litres of water enter the sea every single second and yet it remains calm, serene and tranquil. All the toxic and polluted water enters the sea every single day and yet it remains arcadian and calm. The sea never stops any water from entering. it accepts all the fresh water and the toxic water with equal serenity.
Likewise, thousands of thoughts enter your mind every single day. Most of our thoughts are negative and toxic like the modern-day rivers. Most of our thoughts are about past mistakes and failures. Most of our thoughts are about regrets.
Most of our thoughts are straight garbage that we dump in our rivers.
All we have to learn in life is to master how to become like the sea. No matter how many toxic and negative thoughts enter our minds we will accept them with peace, serenity and calmness. No matter how many toxic and negative thoughts enter our minds we will not get angry, sad or depressed. No matter how many toxic or negative thoughts enter our minds we will live in the present moment.
Our thoughts are only powerful if we give power to them. The day your mind becomes like the sea every toxic and negative thought Loses its power. The day your mind becomes like the sea you simply master life. The day your mind becomes like the sea you become peaceful, serene and tranquil.
Never try to stop your thoughts even if they are toxic. let them flow like a Himalayan river and never construct a dam in your mind against the toxic and negative thoughts. Because doing so will make them more powerful. the best way to avoid a problem is by solving it. if you are going through hell, it's better to keep walking. the best way to get rid of your toxic thoughts is by facing them. the only way to become fearless is by facing your worst fears.
In the end, Gautama Buddha (founder of Buddhism) once said
"What you think, you become and Nothing can harm you as much as your thoughts unguarded"
