Greetings, dear pond supporters! I have been going through a patch of illness and I'm hoping that I'm nearing the healthy side. One bright spot has been the pollinators frequenting my yard. It is a balm to see that since I planted host plants, the invertebrates came. I have seen multiple butterflies visit our yard. I see them mostly when I'm at my desk so I can't give chase and get photos. But I have seen swallowtail, little burnt orange ones that I don't know the name for, and monarch butterflies. Below is the one picture I got when a beautiful monarch fluttered around and around me as I stood awestruck in my driveway.
Bees of various kinds have taken up residence in the bee house my kiddo and I hung in the backyard. Seeing the sundry bees makes me so happy. I also am psyched about all the peppers and pumpkins they have pollinate for my family.
