My old podcasting host and the lack of communication they have with their customers so I found a new host by accident which allowed me to move my show to possibly a best move I could make.
The host that I was formally with made a deal to give me new equipment and I would choose them to be my host however over the few months leading up to my launch of the show, they never sent me anything and never got back to me. I even e-mail several time to see what was going on and to see if I could do anything to help out but in return, they didn't get back .
I eventually asked them if we could do one year free of their service instead. They agreed however they decided to give me a lifetime subscription for their top tier. That was a huge savings in my eyes.
Fast forward about 6 months.
I noticed that if I never released a show weekly, my stats would remain at zero until I uploaded something and I'm not to sure why. The other crazy part of this company is their 24/7 customer service fucking sucks. They boasted about how great it was then get back to me 2-3 months after I sent an email asking for help. Hell, I tried them out in 2022 which was fine then the other day the emailed me asking if I had everything fixed. Two years later? Really guys? Enough is enough.
Crusin Facebook, I typed in podcasting host to see if I could find a hidden gem or something which I kind of did. I found a company called https://soapbox.host. I emailed them asking about the hosting options. The sweet thing is that they just started up and I'm one of the few that joined. For $10 a month, it's well put together with new things coming. With this change of platform, I think this could and will be best for us in the end.
