I’ve made a few special modification myself…
I have a few photographs planned that required some customisation of existing figures.
First is The Mandalorian. My Mando had very dull grey armour instead of that glorious silver onscreen in the show.
I recently used chrome pens to customise a couple of C-3PO figures, one clean and one weathered and the final product was so pleasing I decided to use the silver chrome pen on Mando.
Now, the finish isn’t perfect. This little guy won’t be threatening a Hot Toy for attention, but on camera this should look really cool. Especially because the reflective quality of this finish should offer some interesting effects when photographed.
The other photo I have planned requires some modification to my bike scout figure. 
I took a pic with him this week and it inspired another shot, but in the next shot I’d like to have the helmet off. I’ve done this before so the next shot will qualify as a redux of sorts.
In the original shot I had a biker with his helmet off enjoying some down time. That’s the shot I plan to revisit with a new head and new composition. 
I plan to use this modified Luke head for my new Biker.
I like to revisit these shots from time to time. It helps me gauge my progression as a photographer and see how my ability to pose these figures and compose a shot has developed.
I enjoy the compare and contrast of it all.
