6k monthly visits, posts with 35k-100k views, over 400 comments, 140 articles, in 5 years and counting — my Blog is thriving. And that makes me happy. Spending around CHF 200/year on operational costs is easier to measure than the countless hours of research, documentation & writing – aside of some maintenance work. This is on top of an almost 10 hour work day (not kidding) and family time.
I'm not interested in running Ads, and I won't become a full-time «blogger». When a buddy is helping me out with lending a hand, a beer, a drink, a pizza is what emphasizes the «Thank you!». Probably some people reading my blog & finding solutions or new ideas to their problems, feel the same. It's an experiment – and I love to learn new stuff; so that's the motivation driving me.
