Why did God create the material world at all?

Answer:

It is because the souls wanted to enjoy separately from God. The world serves two purposes, to experiment, and when it doesn’t work, rectification of it and then going back in God. There are souls who want to engage in grossly sinful hedonistic activities, which was not possible in the earlier ages. They have such minds, that if only they engage in it, and realize it’s futility, they’ll turn back from it, otherwise their imagination will obsess them.

Kaliyuga is the age where people get this opportunity of engaging in extremely perverted experiments. God doesn’t forsake his devotees here, and hence He makes returning back to Him easier in Kaliyuga. The experimentation is perverse and so the rectification is easier. The culture is so difficult, and the souls are spiritually bankrupt, so God’s mercy is extended in kaliyuga.

The essence of this material world is that, there is nothing beyond God, and He alone can give us happiness. Kaliyuga is a component plan of the complete cosmic masterplan. The teacher wants the students to have a bright career and pass well in exam. At the same time, she creates an exam of multiple choice questions wherein the majority of answers are wrong! It is not to fail the students, but to make sure that the student studies and learns and passes! Kaliyuga serves a similar purpose.
