Western Europe, around 1830. This exquisite spray brooch was designed to move.
Tiny diamonds were mounted on delicate springs, so even the slightest movement made them tremble and catch the light. By candlelight, the effect must have been magical — a golden bouquet shimmering as if it were alive.
Crafted in coloured gold and set with diamonds, it is more than a piece of jewellery. It is a tiny performance of light, preserved for almost two centuries.
