The most recent episode of the Whispering Gallery podcast is a two parter about Mother Goose and Fairy Tales from France and Germany that bloomed with the help of illustrators. I have been knee deep in research for this one as each new click, page turned, what have you opened up more research on whatever subject I was following. I didn't know the Grimm's had middle-class women and neighbors telling them fairy tales, instead of peasants. Nor that a mother goose tale is a tall tale. Lots of new-to-me stuff to share.
This is while Luna our foster with www.rmdr.org has been with us. She has had a lot of complicated things going on including mega esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, stays in the ICU and having a g-tube (feeding tube) placed. It has seemed very much in the vein of fairy tales with unfair circumstances.
