If the holidays have your stomach stressed and your waistband crying for mercy…try this bowl. Watch the video.

Share it with someone who needs a little help navigating holiday eating without regret.

The holidays are beautiful… and let’s be honest — they come with a whole lot of food that was not on your meal plan.
Potlucks, office parties, Auntie’s kitchen experiments… you name it.
And every year, folks pull me to the side saying:

“Why is my stomach acting up?”
“Why am I so bloated?”
“Why are my fibroids flaring?”
“Why do holidays feel like a digestive roller coaster?”

Here’s what I tell them — the same thing I say at every workshop, every demo, every livestream:

If it grows from the ground, it has two things: fiber and antioxidants.
And those two things are some of the most healing gifts you can help your body to every single day.

Fiber keeps your gut moving.
Antioxidants calm inflammation.
Together? Whew. They are a whole wellness miracle.

And yes — your stomach rumbling after holiday food is your body saying,
“Where is my fiber? Where are my antioxidants? Help me, please!”

So inside this NutriVille short video, I added a comfort food that secretly heals:
Non-dairy cheese grits made from whole, ground-grown ingredients.

Let me tell you something —
If it grows from the ground, it’s going down.

Rutabaga.
Red lentils.
Onions.
Garlic.
Savory herbs.
Nutritional yeast.

All those ingredients are working FOR you, not against you.

They soothe the gut.
They help calm fibroid inflammation.
They cleanse after a night of holiday “I know I shouldn’t have eaten that…but it WAS Nana’s pan of mac and cheese.”

And guess what else?

These grits will help you keep those pounds off — so you can stay slim in the waist and cute in the face.

Because whole-food fiber actually helps with fullness, cravings, blood sugar, and fat storage.
Comfort food + healing benefits? Yes, ma’am.

And thank you, always, for supporting the NutriVille Chronicles and the work I do.
Your encouragement keeps this mission alive.

Here's the recipe:

🥣 Nutriville Non-Dairy Cheese Grits (Healing Bowl Edition) | 25 FAVES Points

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped (5 points)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (5 points)

  • 1 cup butternut squash, chopped (5 points)

  • 1 carrot or 1 parsnip or 1 cup rutabaga (your “cheese color” enhancer) (5 points)

  • Mushrooms (optional topping, cooked separately) (5 points)

  • Plant-based sausage (optional topping, cooked separately)

  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast

  • Handful of non-dairy cheese

  • Liquid aminos or coconut aminos

  • Water

  • Grits

  • Optional toppings: avocado, lettuce shreds, green onions

Directions

  1. Cook your mushrooms first

    • Sauté them in a dry pan or with a splash of water.

    • Remove and set aside (this keeps your cheese base bright and golden).

  2. Cook your plant-based sausage

    • Place the sausage in the toaster oven or air fryer while the vegetables cook.

    • Chop and set aside for topping later.

  3. Build your cheese-like vegetable base

    • In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, butternut squash, and your orange veggie using a little water + liquid aminos/coconut aminos.

    • Cook 5–7 minutes until everything is soft.

  4. Blend the base

    • Puree ONLY the squash, onions, garlic, and carrot/parsnip/rutabaga.

    • This gives you a bright golden, creamy “cheese sauce” without the mushrooms darkening it.

  5. Add grits + water

    • Pour the puree back into the pan and add water and grits.

    • Cook until thick and creamy, about 7–10 minutes.

  6. Finish the pot

    • Stir in nutritional yeast.

    • Add non-dairy cheese until it melts smoothly into the mixture.

  7. Top and serve

    • Add your mushrooms or sausage on top.

    • Add lettuce shreds for crunch (trust the process!).

    • Optional: avocado or green onions.

This breakfast keeps whole foods outnumbering processed ones
