I thought this series would be interesting for anyone new to the craft who might be wondering how much of a time commitment a cross stitch project would be. When I'm stitching, I lose all concept of time and I zone out of the world completely, so I usually never have any idea of how long each piece takes me.
To make it an accurate experiment, I set a timer and stitched in 15-30 minute intervals. I paused it if something non-stitchy came up (e.g. paying attention to my demanding dog!) These timings include changing threads in between stitches as well, and I was stitching at a comfortable, natural pace.
