The Death & Alchemy of Identity

The Death & Alchemy of Identity

May 01, 2025

There are identities we wear because we were told we had to—
To be loved.
To be safe.
To be good.

But what happens when those identities start to suffocate us?

This reflection poured out of me in the middle of that unraveling.
It’s not about fixing.
It’s not about healing fast or getting it right.
It’s about seeing—what’s been living through us… and choosing to stop feeding it.

This is the death of an identity built on rejection.
The kind that feeds on suffering and scripts our lives without consent.

If that feels familiar—you’re not alone.
Take a breath.
Drop into this with me.

The Death & Alchemy of Identity

This identity requires me to die unloved.

I see it.

I feel it.

It feeds on perceived abandonment, on silence, on the ache of never being fully seen and loved.

It rejects genuine love when it arrives, asking to be received and reciprocated.

That’s how it perpetuates itself.

That’s how it survives.

That’s how it keeps breathing.

My life is not the stage for identity’s tragedy. I’ve let it rehearse its grief in my body, my relationships, my breath—long enough.

So I let it die.

Unloved.

Unneeded.

Unfed.

It is better for identity to die than for it to live through this I am.

Otherwise, it will script my life.

And I already know how that story ends.

I will not sacrifice love, truth, or embodiment for the burden of identity to live through me.

I choose this I am.

I choose here.

I choose now.

I choose life.

I choose love.

This is my life. Fully mine.

No more auditions.

No more looping scripts.

No more identities demanding my suffering as proof they exist.

I am powerful.

I am here.

I am sovereign in this life.

I'm breathing in the sacred now—

where my wholeness isn't waiting…

It already is.

This is my life.

And I'm living the fuck out of it.

Reflections and Thoughts

This reflection isn’t meant to tell you who you are—
It’s an invitation to notice who you’ve been letting live through you.

And maybe, to let a piece of that die.

Not with shame.
But with love.
Because your life isn’t a stage for identity’s tragedy.

It’s yours.
To breathe.
To feel.
To live the fuck out of.

💬 What’s stirring in you?

What came alive for you?
What stirred? What softened? What cracked open a little?

You’re invited to share your thoughts in the comments—this space is as much yours as it is mine.
