A playful crochet tote bag made up of 11 pieces crocheted together: a front and back panel, two side panels,
one bottom panel, two straps, and 4 ruffle edges. Everything is worked in double crochet,
except for the straps, side and bottom panels, which are worked in single crochet. This is
an intermediate pattern, but a confident and patient beginner can definitely make it as
well!
This tote bag is made using Lily Sugar’n Cream Super Size Worsted Cotton Yarn in 4
Medium in the color red and brown. To achieve the same size and look, I recommend using a 4
medium worsted cotton yarn or any yarn you want to use with limited elasticity.
Materials:
- Non-stretch yarn such as cotton, hemp or nylon in size 4 Medium. If you use the
Sugar n’ Cream
yarn, you will need 3 skeins of the 113g / 4 oz, 184m / 200yd yarn
-
A crochet hook (matching the correct size of your yarn choice)
- Scissors
- A darning needle
- A ruler
- Stitch markers (Use these as you need them. Alternatives - bobby pins, small pieces of yarn you can tie)
Happy creating!
