Hi folks!!
It's been a hot second since i've not been on a plane, train or automobile. Or more specifically aquamobile. But as of a few hours ago I finally have touched down once more in IRELAND!!
Oh you sweet sweet green lands of home.
You can imagine my immense joy to get home to 10 degree weather and lashing rain. Nothing says summer in ireland like p*ssing rain in June. What a treat!!
The last year or so has seen me on the road almost constantly and I have to admit that after months and months and months living out of a suitcase I probably should admit.... I couldn't love it more
Honestly, I adore what I do and I'm eternally grateful to get to do it. To go from busking on the streets of London to some of the most beautiful ships in the world and to have met so many wonderful people along the way. I'm reflecting here as I watch the rain smash off the windows and I'm truly truly truly feeling so much gratitude
10 days of bliss
I have about 10 days before I get on the road again and I intend to do the following with that time
eat everything in sight
see my family
repeat step one combined with step 2
get out into the green fields
hurl myself into every open body of water I can find
sleep at a reasonable hour and wake up in the same bed
reply to the 4000 emails that I have waiting for me (apologies!)
record some of the video requests that have been sent through
write some letters to some friends
eat some more
sleep again
ride a few horses
sing to the chickens a bit
enjoy not being on a ship and having to say "sorry my phone service is dodgy we're sailing away from an island right now"
wash my clothes whenever I want and hang them up to dry outside
NOT HAVE TO USE AIRCON
honestly some of you might be shocked by the one above - I HATE aircon and as a singer its so so bad for you and in ireland aircon is like having a fork to eat your soup with - completely useless - we have 3 days of sun a year
