I love cooking and eating Indian food. Not the westernised stuff you find in Indian restaurants. I like the “real“ thing and have been taught by two great Indian chefs, Monisha Bharwardwaj and Bini Ludlow. Time spent in their kitchens is time well spent and they’ve both introduced me to ingredients and spices that elevate Indian dishes to the next level.
One ingredient that’s often overlooked is the humble lentil and a few days ago I wrote a new BiteSizedGardening article on how to grow lentils.
Lentils are now being grown commercially in the U.K. and can be grown in our gardens. But it’s not an easy crop unless you follow some of my top growing tips … and even then I’d think twice before accepting the challenge.
