Tottenham Hotspur freshman James Maddison has praised captain Son Heung-min.
"He's the kind of person you want to hug every morning when you wake up," Maddison said in an interview with the Daily Mail on Sept. 22 (local time), adding, "He's just a nice guy."
Maddison joined Tottenham from Leicester ahead of the season and quickly established himself as a mainstay of the team.
His partnership with the team's ace and captain, Son Heung-min, has helped Spurs extend their unbeaten start to the English Premier League (EPL) to eight games (W6 D2 L2).
"He's a really warm person and a fantastic captain who leads by example," Maddison said. "When he's leading the team, you don't want to let him down. It's contagious to the team," he said, applauding Son's leadership.
Maddison also looked back on his time at Leicester and had nothing but praise for Son.
"I didn't know Son at all when I played for Leicester, but after the game he came up to me and shook my hand, gave me a hug and complimented me," Maddison said. "He gives people his time, even when he doesn't have to."
Spurs, led by Son and Maddison, will look to extend their unbeaten streak to nine games and leapfrog Fulham at the top of the table when they host them at 4 a.m. ET on Sept. 24. Spurs are currently on 20 points, just one point behind leaders Manchester City (21), who have played one game more than them. 슬롯사이트
