Have you been reading posts by others or heard a kite flier describe their kite, or their flying, with some random adjectives or other words and it leaves you scratching your head trying to better understand exactly what the person means? In this weeks episode Paul de Bakker tackles some of these random terms and terminology that get thrown around often. We are saving all of the 'mechanical' or 'building' terms for another episode, so if you don't know what a yo-yo stopper is, or what to call this other doo-hicky on the whats-it, no worries, we will get to it. :)
So, let's get to some of the words. When you say a kite has good 'speed control' is this something from the flier, or can this actually be built into the kite?
Are there different ways to use the word 'pitch' and do they mean different things?
If a kite can 'float'... does that mean it is buoyant if dropped in the water, or does it means something else?
How do you define the difference between an 'aggressive response' and a 'soft touch'?
Well, find out in this weeks episode, being loaded on 8/4/2021.
