Monique Shippen, reigning Miss International Australia 2019/20 and former Miss Earth Australia 2018, will be releasing her new single ‘Someone Else’ on January 14, 2022. After competing in pageants nationally and overseas, she has used her time during the COVID-19 lockdown to re-focus on her passion for singing and songwriting, which she developed from a young age.
‘Someone Else’ will be her debut single under the name Monique Charlotte, almost ten years after releasing a 10-track album called ‘Headache’ on Spotify as Mon-Ami. ‘Someone Else’ is an edgy pop song about being at home alone, waiting for hours, and eventually being stood up by a date. However, the mood shifts upon realising that things are better off with someone else.
‘Someone Else’ will be released on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and other streaming services on January 14, 2022, accompanied by a music video on YouTube.
