İstanbulspor 0 - 2 Trabzonspor:
Last season’s champions took the field for the season opener against the newly promoted İstanbulspor. The season didn’t start on a high note as both teams were very disappointing in their respective standards. Istanbulspor intended to cary last year’s momentum with minimum transfer, but the lack of quality is apparent. Trabzon won without a hustle.
Top Sorare Scorer: Anastoasios Bakasetas (73.8 pts)
Personal POTM: Emmanouil Siopis

Sivasspor 1 - 1 Gaziantep FK:
Two of the more defensive minded teams of last season faced each other for the opener. It was expected to be a low-key affair and though there were brief spells of entertainment, it mainly matched the expectations. Gaziantep looked a bit more offensively, but in general it felt liked two lower-mid table teams playing without much on the line.
Top Sorare Scorer: Alexandru Maxim (85.2 pts)
Personal POTM: Kerem Atakan Kesgin

Beşiktaş 1 - 0 Kayserispor:
Besiktas fans already lived through a year worth of emotions even before the season kicked off. The joyous air around the club with the arrivals of Weghorst, Muleka, and Gedson Fernandes soon turned gloomy with the departures of Emirhan and Rıdvan, injury to Josef, and a series of underpar performances in friendlies. Besiktas needed this one and with a little help from their incredible fans, they managed to grab the winner late in the injury time.
Top Sorare Scorer: Rachid Ghezzal (78.9 pts)
Personal POTM: Rachid Ghezzal

Karagümrük 2 - 4 Alanyaspor:
Francesco Farioli welcomed fellow Italian Andrea Pirlo to the Super Lig with a fantasticly entertaining game. Karagümrük tried to execute a high-pressing game but Alanyaspor may be the worst opponent for that style as they are famous with their superb built-up play. They were easily punished by Alanyaspor as the visitors broke through the press too easily.
Top Sorare Scorer: Efecan Karaca (80.4 pts)
Personal POTM: Leroy Fer

Giresunspor 2 - 3 Adana Demirspor:
Hopes weren’t high for Giresunspor as their financial problems were the sole talking point in pre-season. However, much like last season, the fielded team played beyond their personal abilities. It was an untypically high tempo match for the host and they were very unlikely not to get anything. Finishing and goalkeeping swung the result.
Top Sorare Scorer: Gökhan İnler (98.1 pts)
Personal POTM: Gökhan İnler

Antalyaspor 0 - 1 Galatasaray:
Even in a low scoring, this had been one of the most entertaining matches of week 1. Both teams looked very ready for the season and teams played in with the tempo and physicality of mid-season game. Antalya rue missed chances, including a penalty kick, as Galatasaray punched in the winner with the experienced striker Gomis just in the brink of the end.
Top Sorare Scorer: Fernando Muslera (80.8 pts)
Personal POTM: Fernando Muslera

Başakşehir 4 - 0 Kasımpaşa:
The whole story of the match can be concluded in 3 words: Kasımpaşa needs defenders. With a side clearly lacking in quality and quantity in defense, Kasımpaşa manager decided, in what can be assumed as a momentary lapse of judgement, to use playmaker Kara as the defensive midfielder. Başakşehir created at will and could have scored more, but we cannot grade the game of Basaksehir as Kasımpasa was just that terrible.
Top Sorare Scorer: Patryk Szysz (81 pts)
Personal POTM: Mounir Chouiar

Ankaragücü 0 - 0 Konyaspor:
Super League regulars Ankaragücü’s return to topflight was highlighted with the turnup of their fans. The match itself was entertaining enough, but neither side managed to break through. Ankaragücü saw some promising passages of play but in the end couldn’t come away on top. Nonetheless, they can take the positives against one of the better teams in the league and move on.
Top Sorare Scorer: Bahadır Güngördü (66.5 pts)
Personal POTM: Adil Demirbag

Fenerbahçe 3 - 3 Ümraniyespor:
This week's most surprising result came in the closing game. It might not be a shock if a newly promoted team came to Kadıköy and parked the bus to grab a point but a 6 six goal-thriller certainly wasn't on the cards. Jorge Jesus' ultra-attacking system seemed to back fire as Ümraniyespor had no trouble finding acres of space. If Fenerbahçe continues with the same system, similar scorlines would expected to be a regular occurence.
Top Sorare Scorer: Allyson (93.1 pts)
Personal POTM: Allyson
