2025 Turkish Super League Goalkeepers Rated

Aug 13, 2024
  • The prices are taken from Soraredata. The lowest between current average and floor price is taken into account.

  • The ratings and information are all my personal opinions, not to be taken too seriously and of course and as always these are not investment tips.

Dominik Livakovic is the best rated with 46 points however he comes with the premium price of 4,89 € per point. On the other end of the table, Vedat Karakuş is cheapest with just 0,70 price/point, but with so many uncertainties he is mostly a gamble rather than a pickup. From the actual options, Okan Kocuk stands out with his cheap price (1,31 p/p) and while remaining in the same price range Bilal Bayazıt looks to offer the best quality for your money.

Dominik Livakovic (Fenerbahçe):

Price: 276 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                9/10

Although he was criticised during his adjustment period, he picked pace in the final period of last season and started this one on a high, showing his world-renowned potential from Euros and World Cups.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            13/15

Fenerbahçe’s squad overall deserves full points but considering goalkeepers defence is more important, so 2 points were deducted Fenerbahçe looked leaky both last season in general and in the qualification rounds so far.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                9/10

He is definitely the starter without much competition, Fener is not in the market for a replacement either. Eğribayat is not horrible if he has to step in, thus the deduction of 1 point.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     10/10

He is very reputable at a peak age, I don’t see him loose value in the coming seasons. Absolute worst scenario is him returning to his home country which is still covered by Sorare.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     5/5

He didn’t have any recent injury problems at all.

Total Points:   46/50                        Price-per-point: 4,89 €

Uğurcan Çakır (Trabzonspor):

Price: 126 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 10/10

Last season was a season to forget for Çakır as he followed suit with his teams very disappointing performance which also demoted him to backup in the Euros. He still is the most talented GK in the league.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            12/15

Abdullah Avcı’s slow-paced game often allows them to concede less. They don’t have the best defensive players, but some clean-sheets will be expected.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                10/10

He is the captain and a definite starter. There are talks about some interest in him from Arabian Peninsula, but I don’t see Trabzon letting him go so close to the season’s start.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     6/10

He is so talented that I always envisioned him moving to one of the top 5 leagues. His recent slump in form led to talks about him moving to Saudi Arabia, if he continues like this that would remain his only viable move.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     4/5

He habitually misses a couple games each season but nothing serious.

Total Points:   42/50                        Price-per-point: 3 €7

Fernando Muslera (Galatasaray):

Price: 145 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                9/10

Muslera has been a 10 out of 10 since moving to Gala in 2011. He looked at his peak until the last 5 games of last season where he showed his age. At age 38, there’ll be doubts over your performance no matter how good you are.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            14/15

Galatasaray have the best centerback pairing and have been always defensively sound under Okan Buruk. It’s hard to tell who’ll win the title but Galatasaray are favourites to have the best defensive record.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                10/10

He is not just the captain but an icon for the club. Even last season when GS had troubles with the 3 Turks rule he was untouched amidst expectation of rotation.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     3/10

He is so expected to leave when his contract runs out in 2025. He had a similar situation for some years now and you cannot ever rule out such an iconic presence.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     3/5

He had two serious injuries in the two seasons before last, but last he was completely injury free. He is not injury prone but at his age recovery times may extend and the players are not fit as they used to be.

Total Points:   39/50                        Price-per-point: 3.49 €

Muhammed Şengezer (Başakşehir FK):

Price: 114 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                7/10

He broke into the first time rotating with Volkan Babacan a couple seasons ago. As he was establishing himself, he had a huge adductor injury. He proved himself worthy in the time he played, but with just 45 Super League appearances in his career he needs more displays to go higher than 7.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            10/15

I do believe Atan’s Başakşehir will continue their successful run from the end of last season, but there haven’t been any considerable additions to the squad and there are apparent weaknesses such as fullbacks.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                9/10

Şengezer only has himself to compete with. Even though former national team no.1 Babacan is still at the team, he is no longer in serious contention for first team and 19-years-old Deniz Dilmen is higher in pecking order.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     9/10

He is a talented and reputable keeper playing for always above-average Başakşehir at a peak age. The fact that he was often mentioned in the discussions for the Euros after a season he just played 14 games, says a lot.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     2/5

He suffered a lot from injuries. Although he doesn’t a recurring injury issue, a total of 45 top-flight games is simply not enough for a 27-years-old. We need to see an injury-free season.

Total Points:   37/50                        Price-per-point: 3.08 €

Bilal Bayazıt (Kayserispor):

Price: 59,70 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 8/10

Bayazıt was the best performing Turkish goalkeeper in the league for the last season, in my opinion. He was overlooked by Montella for the Euros, but if he can keep this level a national call-up should be expected soon.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            5/15

Debt-ridden Kayserispor is one of the favourites for relegation and with the defenders lacking in both quality and quantity, Bayazıt is off for a long season.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                8/10

Peculiarly, goalkeeper is the only position where Kayserispor is well-stacked. His backup, Onurcan Piri, could have been in contention for a starting spot in some other team. All in all, Bayazıt is the better option but not irreplaceable.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     10/10

25 years is still young for a goalkeeper. He is in the national team pool and is still making a name for himself. Even if Kayserispor goes down, many Super League and foreign teams will come offering a life-jacket.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     5/5

He haven’t shown any signs to worry the owners of his cards.

Total Points:   36/50                        Price-per-point: 1.66 €

Mert Günok (Beşiktaş):

Price: 120 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 8/10

He reinforced his cult-like status with the unforgettable injury-time save against Austria in the Euros. As an unpopular opinion, I do not rate him as highly, especially not in his age of 36. Still, I cannot overlook the facts that he is the starting GK for the national team and had a strong showing in the Euro 24.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            11/15

Beşiktaş made sensational moves and started the season with a 5-0 win over bitter rivals Galatasaray. However they are still considering improvements for 3 of their 4 starting defenders, which is not a great sign for people hoping for cleansheets.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                10/10

Apart from his talent, Günok is really loved by the club and fans alike. Destanoğlu didn’t ever made the jump his potential suggested and cannot realistically push for a first-team role over Günok.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     5/10

Even at his age, his performance in the Euros suggest he has at least a couple more seasons in his bag. However, he loves the club and at some point might settle for a backup role instead of moving to a team to be a starter.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     2/5

He is definitely prone to injuries. Last season was his most consistent since 19/20 as he started 30 games out of 38. Even during the Euros, he managed to sit out a game with a brief injury.

Total Points:   36/50                        Price-per-point: 3.33 €

Jakub Slowik (Konyaspor):

Price: 59 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 6/10

After an interesting career and 4 seasons at J1 league, he returned to the continent with Konyaspor. His first half-season was adequate, albeit nothing sensational.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            9/15

Konyaspor are traditionally solid defensively. Last season was an anomaly as they barely survived relegation; I’m expecting a much-improved performance this year.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                               10/10

The club only has some youngsters backing Slowik up. He doesn’t have much competition and with Konyaspor trying to improve almost every other position, he will be untouched for the start of the season.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     5/10

His contract ends in 2025. He is not young and he hasn’t proved himself in Turkey yet. Konyaspor might as well extend his contract at the end of the year, but as the current standing of things, it’s almost 50/50.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     5/5

We haven’t seen or know anything to worry about.

Total Points:   35/50                        Price-per-point: 1.69 €

Berke Özer (Eyüpspor):

Price: 137 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 6/10

Brought by Fenerbahçe from the illustrious youth academy of Altınordu; his performances never been up to what his potential offered. He travelled too much and thus hadn’t had the opportunity to settle down and do his best work. He was very good for Eyüp in the lower league, but Eyüp was by far the strongest team and didn’t need Özer as much as they’ll need him this year.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            6/15

Eyüpspor has a lot of star attackers, but they are clearly lacking in defence and holding midfielders. They have the budget and the ambition to make the required additions, but if they don’t, they’ll share the same fate of their affiliate club Pendikspor, who were relegated just because they conceded a ridiculous 73 goals.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                9/10

You can never know with the current board of Eyüpspor who’ll come and who’ll leave. However, Berke proved himself last year and I’m pretty certain he was promised a Super League starter role for this season when he moved to the lower division for Eyüpspor.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     8/10

His qualities are well-known and he already built himself a reputation while playing for Fenerbahçe. Even if everything goes south this year, I’m adamant that most Super League clubs will be eager to gamble on him next year.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     5/5

There doesn’t seem to be any injury related problem for him.

Total Points:   34/50                        Price-per-point: 4.03 €

Gökhan Akkan (Rizespor):

Price: 62,80 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 5/10

Hopes were high for Akkan when he made his breakthrough and went all the way to national team. He has been declining ever since. On his day, he can be a feast to watch while other days he can be quite error-prone.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            9/15

Palut’s Rizespor was one of the most impressive sides last season. With pinpoint additions and the young squad getting more experienced, they are set to overachieve once again.

Current Season Risk:                                                                                                9/10

Akkan has been the captain for Rizespor last year and had some stellar performances, especially in the first half. He wasn’t great in the second and Tarık Çetin had a chance to claim no.1 role when he picked up an injury. Luckily for Akkan, Çetin’s abysmal performances and unbelievable errors made sure his starting role was not in danger.

Next Season Risk:                                                                                                     8/10

He is a proven formula with 188 games in topflight already. He would be a good choice for any Super League team who is looking for a reliable goalie.

Injury Proneness:                                                                                                     2/5

Akkan is known to be quite injury-prone. The number of games he missed due to an injury in the last 3 seasons are: 6, 5, 7 with at least 3 different injuries for each season. Expect him to miss around 5-6 games this season as well.

Total Points:   33/50                        Price-per-point: 1.90 €

Okan Kocuk (Samsunspor):

Price: 43,20 Euros

GK Rating:                                                                                                                 6/10

His performances both at Giresun and Samsun proved him to be a satisfactory goalkeeper. He has his weaknesses and might not be top-4 team material, but he certainly is a reliable option for any other.

Team Rating:                                                                                                            7/15

Samsunpor are one of my relegation candidates. Unlike many other teams, their defensive players are actually on an acceptable level, but their defensive woes come from the lack of support from midfielders.

Current Season Risk:                                                  &am
