Apparently someone like me is an empath. A sensitive being. An irony not lost on me as I'm often quite loud or brash (the rude Auntie, thanks Louis, haha). I was the sibling who was a bit of a handful, the one who ran in to school jumping the queue and getting told off for pushing in, not the one clinging to mum's leg.
I'm going to take you along with me on my journey, if you'd like to come, from chrysalis to beautiful butterfly (unless by some horrible chance I should become a moth, I'm sure there are beautiful moths). I'm not sure how long my journey will take, it's not going to be a quick fix. Incidentally when I was about 7 a boy called John Mullins told me that if you stood in the garden with your mouth wide open a moth would fly in..... Yes, I was that child. I was also that child that didn't believe that wasps could still sting once dead. Let me tell you, they can!! I remember exactly where I was standing in the two different gardens pertaining to those events.
So what is my journey I hear you ask. Well, I'm on a journey of healing, of recovery. I am using a very supportive programme run by people who have already recovered from Chronic Fatigue or M.E and Fibromyalgia. The group is called The Chrysalis Effect. The program has been running for 9 plus years and so there are many recoverers at differing stages of recovery all able to offer support.
I don't have a set idea of how my blogs will pan out and fully expect them to be spirited and humorous (I hope). I may well include stories I've written and as I journey I may explore experiences which have impacted my life, though you'll be glad to hear I recovered from both a sore finger and a hairy moth mouth!!
I look forward to 'meeting' some of my readers along the way. I currently am furloughed but even when working only manage to work about 8 hours a week.
