Walking Within The Assignment God Has Given Me

Since my last posting months ago, I have had considerable time to reflect upon my life this year. There are many opportunities that I plan to pursue in the upcoming year, however I would be remiss if I did not pay attention to the things that God wants me to do presently. In the near future, I would love to meet and marry a Blair Underwood clone, give birth to 5 beautiful, creative, and well rounded children, and create a loving home for my family. However, that is not the assignment that God had blessed me with today. I am still single and that is my calling or assignment for right now. My goal is to be faithful in this calling while I have it. 1 Corinthians 7:34b says, “The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit”. That’s what I’m supposed to focus on today and however long I remain unmarried. God comes first in all things and then it is my task to live holy and pure. I want to do a really good job in this. So instead of focusing on myself and my problems, I am extending my capabilities to reach out to others. So far, I’ve sent Christmas cards to some of my family members and friends who I have not seen since the inception of COVID. Also, I have called some of my elder family members to check up on them. I plan to start volunteering soon and making casseroles for people who are sick and/or injured within my community. That’s just a start and I know that God will bless my faithfulness in a special way. I am awesomely looking forward to how I can be successful in this assignment.
