Portalis is an SSH jump server with session recording that fits on a €5 VPS.
Pharos is a status page that runs its own checks and opens the incident before
a customer has to tell you something is down.
Both exist because the alternatives went the wrong way. The status page
everybody used has had no release since 2021 and still needs a human to press
a button; its successor is no longer open source and its licence forbids
resellers from using it at all. So I wrote the replacement and gave it away
under the AGPL — free to run, free to modify, free to resell.
No feature gates, no seat limits, no phone-home. What paid work I do goes into
keeping these maintained.
