Women In Recovery on the Sober Friends Podcast

May 02, 2022

Danielle, who emailed me about an issue she had at her meeting with a disruptive alcoholic, said we should have more ladies on. You know what? She's right! The next two weeks, we have some powerful stories by two women in recovery.

Danielle is our first guest. She tells her story of losing her mom as a kid, finding alcohol at 13, never fitting in and attempting suicide. The deck was stacked against her and yet, she has been able to stay sober and help others.

Next week, we welcome Arlina Allen from the One Day at a Time Podcast. We had a lot of fun on this episode. She's been sober since April 1994. We talk the state of AA and change (or lack thereof), how she was into bottles, bags and blue jeans and what caused her to start her podcast.

I know you'll love these episodes.

Thank you for your support of the Sober Friends podcast. You help us be able to get this in the newcomer's ear and I'm incredibly grateful.
