I never imagined that I would have received donations.
My newsletter and websites are AD-free, I don't have sponsors and I'll do whatever it takes to avoid to have obligations to everybody else other than my readers and followers.
Those who know me can say how reluctant I am about asking for money. However, keeping this project alive, healthy and worthy has costs. Nothing I can't afford, of course, I learned to ponder my actions and to stay in a safe perimeter.
In time, there are unplanned expenses or just "investments" I need to do to improve the quality of the newsletter and/or the websites. I'm fine with that.
However, I tried to walk in my readers/follower shoes.
I use to tip street-artists, donate for good causes and support creators and friends and I feel it is the right thing to do, I feel it is a way to pour my love and passion in projects and people I love and are important to me.
I explored many if not all of the options available and here are my considerations.
I thought that If my work here is good and valuable I do believe that I can have supporters. There will be some people out there that want to be part of this and make sure the newsletter keeps going and I'l keep churning out valuable stuff.
And it is what is happening now! And every time I receive an email about a donation I can refrain myself to feel kind of surprised and my heart is full of gratitude.
