Cookie banners are everywhere. Most of the time, it's just because of google analytics. But these days lots of new tools are popping and they let you count visits and track basic metrics without installing any cookie. They don't collect any personal data, set persistent identifiers or do cross-site/device tracking either. But as those tools are mostly small open source projects or indie business, it is sometimes hard to hear about them.
