The Golf GTD has had two slightly annoying issues for a while now - it’s been slowly losing coolant, and the heater hasn’t been getting properly hot.
So I finally got stuck into it.
I suspected the heater matrix might be partially blocked, so I flushed it through, checked the temperatures before and after, had a look at what came out, and then refilled and tested the system to see if it had actually made a difference.
The interesting bit is that even if the heater matrix was restricted, that still might not explain where the coolant is disappearing to, so I’m keeping an eye on the usual Mk7 problem areas too.
