Muggins Mountain Wilderness Near the Mexican Border, Yuma ~ Arizona

​ @AdventureNomadforNature  I'm currently down here near the Mexican border. You may have heard that two hikers were robbed and one was shot by suspected cartel members Wednesday morning while hiking with a group near the boundary of San Diego and Imperial counties near the U.S.-Mexico border, Customs and Border Protection. I've got to be honest, I've never felt comfortable hiking alone in the wilderness areas down near the border, but I have pushed myself to do it, as hiking down here is so limited with very few hiking trails, compared to other places. Here is a hike I did in 2024, east of Yuma, AZ.
