The founder of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid, was asked about the future of his country, and he replied, "My grandfather rode a camel, my father rode a camel, I ride a Mercedes, my son rides a Land Rover, and my grandson is going to ride a Land Rover, but my great-grandson is going to have to ride a camel again."
Why is that, he was asked? And his reply was,
“Hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times.
Easy times create weak men, weak men create difficult times.
Many will not understand it but you have to raise warriors, not parasites"
And add to that the historical reality that all great "empires"...the Persians, the Trojans, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans and in later years the British...all rose and perished within 240 years. Each "rotted from within".
America has now passed that 240 year mark and the "rot" is visible all around us and is now accelerating quickly. We are passed the Mercedes and Land Rover Years and the camels are in our yards.
A dear friend sent me this today and I think this is the perfect message for now. We can understand more easy how time is not a line, but a circle. There is no straight line in the universe. Every line is part of a circle and becomes a spiral. Therefore if you look at it more closely, you see your past becoming your future.
Just compare it with the cycle of a year. It's every year the same: spring, summer, autumn and winter... but still, each year is different!
Every thing works like this and if some "old" stuff is coming back in your life and you are annoyed and thought you dealt with it already, think about the circle. You have already experiences the seasons too and they come back every year.
There are long and short cycles, so we can see easily and some not. We are not in this shift in a "junction" that we don't remember or truly understand because this is a very big circle and a very huge spiral.
