Customers checking out the Huawei Mate60 smartphone in a Shenzhen shopping mall today.
The flagship phone was released earlier this month during the US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo's visit to China.
The phone has attracted a lot of attention because its China-made advanced chip, the Kirin 9000s, that supports 5G and satellite communication.
This chip is seen as a breakthrough for Huawei, which has been under US sanctions for years, limiting its access to foreign chip technology.
