Just a quick channel trailer update for 2024 where I also shared my four main goals related to ham radio.

My biggest and most fun goal is to attend the hamfest in Huntsville, Alabama. While not much of a convention type of guy, I am putting the plans in place to attend this one. Or at least campout near it.
Huntsville has become the ham fest many in the online ham world make a point to attend. That started at the tail end of the covid lockdowns, when this was the first big ham radio convention to start up again. One feature that makes this a goto location is the large state park near the convention location.
Besides just a great place to meet up and camp out, the location is both a POTA park and has a SOTA summit. Something right up my alley.
I have a new teardrop style camping trailer on it way, and this will be its first of hopefully many multi-state road trips. I plan to make a few stops from Wisconsin to Alabama and back, so this should give me some opportunities to add a few more states activated for POTA and possible a few more regions for SOTA.
To be completely honest, I may not even attend the actual ham fest. I don't have that much interest. My intention is to hangout with some friends I've made the past few years that I haven't met face to face yet. Maybe while they're off looking at the radios and related gear, I'll get some radio time in playing SOTA and POTA.
