Writing and making got a little bit waylaid this week due to arrival of a new puppy. Our Fred just has been so sad since RedDog passed and we think he misses having a buddy. Pup is not what he expected for sure - all teeth and maybe slightly more shark than puppy for the time being. In some ways, it's similar to having human babies in the house - nap when they nap, middle of the night wake ups, and being extra quiet so as not to wake the baby.
Bruce is a little young and a lot adorable and I think when things settle out and he gets a little bigger (big enough to properly play with) the Fred will be happy to have a partner in crime again. Right now, playtime is more a game of keep the feet away from the baby as he seems to have a thing about feet - apparently, they are the yummiest chewies - both human and dog toes. I just got him a cold teether so we'll see if that helps ( fingers crossed).
