launch-16x9.pngRepoDNA v1.3.1 is now available.

RepoDNA is my open-source, local-first project for understanding codebases through architecture maps, dependency information, repository history, hotspots, quality/security signals, and evidence-backed reports. Its aim is to show what the analysis can support—and where its limits are—rather than hand out an unexplained score.

The main addition in v1.3.1 is the ability to analyze a folder or archive in the browser with WebAssembly. Your project files stay in the browser and are not uploaded. Once the web version has loaded, it can continue to work offline. The browser interface can also create HTML/Markdown reports and Project DNA cards that can be saved as SVG or PNG.

This release also adds the @sanskarin/repodna-wasm package, Windows on Arm builds, improvements to desktop report/card saving, and a RepoDNA GitHub Action. The Action can put the analysis summary into a workflow run, annotate findings on files, optionally create a full report, compare against a baseline, and fail at the severity you choose.

One limitation worth noting: browser analysis does not have Git history. Use the CLI or desktop app for full historical analysis.
