Seeds Fincap Raises Rs 100 Crore Series B Led by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to Scale MSME Lending

Gurugram-based non-banking financial company Seeds Fincap has raised more than Rs 100 crore, around $10.4 million, in a Series B funding round led by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, with participation from existing investors Z47 and Lok Capital, alongside new backers Norinchukin Capital and Alteria Capital. Unitus Capital served as financial adviser on the transaction.

imageHere's what Seeds Fincap actually does. Founded in 2021 by Subhash Chandra Acharya, Avishek Sarkar and Sumeet Dhall, the company lends to nano enterprises and small businesses, particularly borrowers whose real cash flows often go uncaptured by traditional credit assessment methods. It offers loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 lakh, built specifically around a cash flow-based underwriting approach rather than conventional collateral or credit-score-driven lending.

The fresh capital has a clear roadmap. Seeds Fincap plans to expand into new markets, strengthen its branch network, which already spans 164 branches, and enhance its technology and risk-management capabilities. The company is explicitly targeting Rs 1,000 crore in assets under management by March 2027, while continuing to prioritise credit assessment quality over pure disbursement growth.

The track record here matters. Seeds Fincap closed both FY25 and FY26 profitably, disbursed roughly Rs 620 crore in FY26 alone, and its AUM already stood at Rs 722 crore as of August 2026. This Series B follows a smaller Rs 50 crore round raised last year, led by Z47 and Lok Capital, and before that, an $8.5 million Series A in 2024, showing a steady, step-up fundraising pattern rather than a sudden valuation jump.

The Dell Foundation's involvement adds a distinct signal too. Known for backing organisations focused on economic mobility and financial inclusion globally, its decision to lead this round reinforces that Seeds Fincap's underserved-borrower focus is attracting not just venture capital, but mission-aligned institutional capital as well.

From nano enterprises overlooked by traditional lenders to a genuinely profitable NBFC with global foundation backing, Seeds Fincap's Series B is a quiet but meaningful bet on India's underserved credit gap.
