Fashion Brand Theater Raises Rs 75 Crore Series A at a Rs 410 Crore Valuation, a 4.5X Jump

Mumbai-based design-led fashion brand Theater has raised Rs 75 crore in a Series A round led by Niveshaay, with participation from new investor Physis Capital and existing backer Prath Ventures, at a post-money valuation of Rs 410 crore.

Here's what makes this jump remarkable. That valuation marks roughly a 4.5X increase from Theater's previous mark of Rs 90 crore, set when it raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by Prath Ventures back in September 2024. Niveshaay led this round with an investment of Rs 37 crore, followed by FirstPort Capital at Rs 12.81 crore and Skagen Ventures at Rs 3.36 crore, with angel investors Saket Agarwal and Vishal Julka, along with IPV International, also participating.

Here's what Theater actually sells. Founded in 2021 by Sarthak Aggarwal, Karan Jain, Vikram Jain, and Shruti Aggarwal, it positions itself as a design-led, mass-premium western fashion brand, offering footwear, bags, stockings, socks, perfumes and accessories, essentially products with distinctive design at prices more accessible than luxury labels, sold primarily through its own digital platform.

The fresh capital has a clear purpose. Theater plans to accelerate its offline expansion, building a physical retail presence across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, while also investing in brand-building, celebrity partnerships and broader marketing efforts, alongside strengthening its balance sheet and working capital position.

The numbers behind the raise tell a growth story too. Theater's revenue grew 2.37X to Rs 33.35 crore in FY25, and while FY26 results haven't been filed yet, the sharp valuation jump signals investors are betting the momentum has continued. The brand now competes in a genuinely crowded design-led fashion space, alongside players like Snitch, which raised Rs 278.9 crore in a Series B, The Bear House with Rs 50 crore in Series A funding, and Miraggio, which raised $6.5 million in its own Series A.

From a Rs 90 crore pre-Series A brand to a Rs 410 crore Series A story in under a year, Theater's rise reflects just how fast investor conviction can shift once a design-led fashion bet starts showing real traction.
