Baby-Focused Quick Commerce Startup Kiddo Raises Rs 12.5 Crore Pre-Seed Round Led by Campus Fund

Delhi NCR-based Kiddo, a category-focused quick commerce app for baby care, has raised Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund, with participation from a group of strategic angel investors.

Here's the problem Kiddo is solving. Founder and CEO Ankit Kawatra put it simply, today's parents can get hundreds of types of chips and sodas delivered in minutes, yet sleep-deprived mothers and fathers across Tier 1 India still have to rely on multiple platforms that take days to deliver what their children actually need. Kiddo is building a vertical quick commerce layer specifically for parenting, delivering baby and kids-care essentials within roughly 30 minutes, combined with life-stage based product recommendations that adjust as a child grows.

The fresh capital has a clear roadmap. Kiddo plans to use the funds for customer acquisition, expanding its dark store network across Delhi NCR, strengthening its technology and product development, and building out its team, with the near-term goal of operating multiple dark stores in the region by the end of the year.

The founder-market fit here is genuine. Kawatra, who has personal experience as a parent of two toddlers, launched Kiddo in 2025 and has already curated over 30,000 SKUs spanning baby essentials, fashion, and other categories, with a blended gross margin significantly higher than typical horizontal grocery quick commerce platforms. The company is currently targeting high-income households in Delhi NCR before expanding further.

The bigger opportunity is substantial. India's baby care market was valued at $31 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $56 billion by 2029, growing at a 13 to 14% CAGR. Kiddo now competes in a heating-up vertical alongside Gurugram-based OZi, which raised $3.3 million in seed funding before a $6.2 million Series A led by RTP Global, and Bengaluru-based Peeko, which scaled from a $3.2 million seed round to a Rs 67.4 crore Series A led by Chiratae Ventures in August 2026.

From sleepless nights to same-day deliveries, Kiddo's pre-seed round is a bet that Indian parents deserve a shopping experience horizontal quick commerce simply wasn't built for.
