Today I released a new Mother’s Day Salish Root Project entry exploring:
tum̓, sk̓ʷuy, the u-vowel, and relational orientation in Salish.
What started as a simple post became a much larger exploration of:
* motherhood as relational structure
* prominence and foundational relation
* root-shells and vowels
* and how patterns slowly emerge through years of listening, comparison, and research.
One thing I wanted this entry to show is that this work does not appear instantly. Many of these understandings only become visible after spending years revisiting examples, comparing related forms, questioning translations, and watching relationships widen across the language.
