What's in My Self-Care Period Bag

What's in My Self-Care Period Bag

Oct 11, 2020

Do you have a self-care period bag? You know - a big but easy to stash (or not so easy if you are a pack rat like me!) tote bag full of all those things you may need or want during your period. Depending on your needs and preferences during your period, your bag could have any number of items that help you deal with life when you just want to sleep and eat. Items like pain relievers, eye masks, books, motion sickness bands, cozy socks, and salty & sweet snacks are all great ideas if you aren't sure where to start.

Since I have endometriosis that can flare up at any time, my period bag is more of a daily, around the house bag. And because of this, it changes up frequently depending on what my daily schedule looks like. But when I'm on my period or having a flare day, my bag will always include: dark chocolate, Tylenol and Tylenol PM, my weekly supplements case, heating pad, towel to sit on (leaks are a real threat on my heaviest days), water bottle, phone charger or power brick, Switch Lite with charger, planner, mini laptop with charger, socks, blanket, and my tens unit. Thankfully my bag is a big sturdy canvas beach tote I got at Barnes and Noble years ago and it can hold a lot. 🙏 I'm going to be a sad panda the day it finally dies.

Do you have a self-care period bag? If so, what do you keep in yours?
