Parents, whether of humans or animals, are obliged to teach you the skills you need in order to survive. Giraffes, for example, leave no room for sympathy as they leave their helpless young to survive in the wild the moment they are born. To say that humans are let off easy is an understatement. As soon as a human baby cries, all attention would immediately be directed towards them, and everyone would try to console the baby until it stops crying. There are two reasons for which I stand by this statement-the amount of time you spend with them and the dedication your parents put into raising you.
The first reason is that parents are usually there from your birth until later on in life, even reaching to your adulthood. While most consider school teachers to be a primary educator, teachers don’t have to change your diaper, teach you how to walk and talk, and teach you the majority of life skills that you know now. The amount of time and attention a parent contributes towards your life is insurmountable, unconditional and endless.
Whether you like it or not, parents are also responsible for you. They may not be equipped or certified in parenthood, but they are the ones who spent the most time, energy, money, effort, as well as soul, into their life. As children learn by example, they replicate the actions of those around them, especially towards those they consider as their role model; it is obvious that their parents are the best source of education both at home as well as throughout their life.
Needless to say, parents are a child’s strongest supporter and educator. Children, and even teenagers, though they won’t admit it, are mostly reliant on their parents not only for their basic and emotional needs, but also to be educated as a valuable, contributing member of society.
