Über Ramon
Hi, I’m Ramon, a software developer and maker from the Netherlands with more than 25 years of experience. I enjoy figuring out how things work, especially where software and hardware meet.
I build practical, mostly open-source projects involving embedded electronics, home automation, networking, firmware, self-hosting and 3D printing. My work includes Novabot, which keeps robot mowers useful without relying on the original cloud, but also Flash Bee, WallMode, Home Assistant cards and camera tools, ESP32 devices, and several UniFi and server utilities.
Most of these projects start with something I use myself: a product stops working, relies too much on the cloud, is unnecessarily closed, or simply lacks a useful feature. I investigate how it works, build a solution, and share what I learn so others can benefit too.
If one of my projects has helped you, saved you time, or kept a device working, you can support my work here. Contributions help pay for hardware, components, test equipment, hosting and, of course, coffee.
Thanks for supporting independent development and open knowledge.
