Maddy was a year younger than my youngest offspring when she passed. No parent should go through that pain.
I found it quite difficult to draw through tears and waves of sadness. Her tragic story really touched me.
I collected as many photos I could of Maddy, never having actually met her.
I hope in my portrait I can capture even a fraction of the amazing young sports woman Maddy was. A life so full of potential, tragically cut short.
Maddy was a joy to behold, beautiful & vivacious, competitive yet caring, so powerful & talented! She was a charismatic power force who is sadly missed following such a tragic & sudden demise.
My heart goes out to her family and team mates. This portrait can never bring Maddy back, but I hope it can remind you of what an amazing young woman and life force she was in your life. Her spirit will always be with you. With much 💖
