I've been to many places and countries. I visited many cultures and observed many tourists. From my observations, I dare say that:
Happiness occurs when you experience something in a sense of peace, harmony, freedom, and equality when you make connections with like-minded people. Something that gives you a warm feeling when you think back on it. And it doesn't cost money afterward.
A holiday is a surrogate for happiness because there is a cost here. After all, it serves as an escape from reality. By the way, a holiday is a state of mind not solely bound to the destination.
