At the moment I'm working on several different projects:
An essay on Orwell's Nineteen-Eighty-Four looking at the audio world that Orwell creates and whether there are any warning signs in the current climate. After all, Freedom is Slavery.
Can/Do/Should composer's create self-portraits in their work. Looking at the work of Tracey Emin and asking if this could apply to music. I've written a piece of music as a self-portrait and now analysing it to see if it works.
A Kate Bush song-cycle: how does taste and relevance change through time? By reimagining Kate Bush's first album The Kick Inside as a more traditional song-cycle I want people to consider these points.
I'm currently exploring orbits as a potential composition stimuli. Can a piece of music be written that's structure around orbital cycles?
I want to share the progress and the work in my members only section and you're welcome to come and get involved in the creative process.
