Sometimes you can go out with your camera without any particular photograph in mind.
These three images were all taken on the same outing, yet each tells a very different story.
The first caught my attention because of the light. The sea was sparkling, turning people and their dogs into silhouettes against an almost white background.
The second was a moment of everyday life. Two people sitting together, yet their expressions and body language seemed to tell different stories. What were they thinking? I'll never know, but that's part of the fascination.
And finally, the pier. A familiar structure transformed by the sky, the clouds and the light reflecting off the sea.
Three ordinary scenes, three different photographs.
It's a reminder of something I've come to believe more and more through my photography.
Sometimes we look. Sometimes we see. There is a difference.
And sometimes all it takes is a walk with a camera.
