A pen and paper RPG game consists of a storyteller and a group of players wishing to go on an epic adventure together.
The way the game works is, players will use a game manual to create a fictional character they will be playing as in their adventure, and the designated storyteller of the group will create a story for the players to interact in with their characters.
There are two general ways for playing through a pen and paper games: one shots, and full campaigns.
A one shot generally only lasts for one session and the adventure is over. The stories for these one shots are generally not elaborate and can be easily over with in one evening.
A campaign is a much larger story told by the story teller over multiple sessions of gameplay. Sometimes the campaign even ends on a cliff hanger, and will be back in a sequel campaign later on by the story teller of the group.
Both ways of playing are quite fun and with Rise of Zero, it can be a blast! There are so many ways to be creative and have fun as you traverse universe and unravel all the mysteries of King Zero with your friends.
