I wish to run my fingers on your skin,
slowly,
gently,
applying only the force necessary
to leaf through your pages,
reading every line,
twice,
licking my fingers with each turn,
tasting the essence of you,
ascending each hill,
tasting victory,
holding you close,
celebrating each one,
past, present, and future,
descending each valley,
massaging defeat,
holding you close,
comforting for each one,
past, present, and future.
